Hi folks! I have just committed to start training for a 5K using my handy-dandy RunKeeper app and it’s Beginner 5K program. I wondered if anyone would like to join me for the 9th Annual CUPID’S CUP 5K & Fitness Walk benefitting cardiovascular health and rehabilitation programs at Carolinas Medical Center, which provides patient scholarship funding, resources for patient education, programmatic and equipment upgrades and also supports the work of the Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute, which has more than 50 years of experience in heart care for adults and children.
The 2013 Cupid’s Cup 5K Run and Fitness Walk (click link for complete registration and race info) will be held 8am, February 9, 2013 at CMC-Myers Park. Each team has a minimum fundraising goal of $350.00 and during registration each individual will be asked to raise $150.00, but is under NO obligation to do so. Please note that all registration fees count toward the team fundraising goal. You can raise as much or as little as you like… have a bake sale! Sell some unused jewelry! Or, if you can’t join the team for the event, it is faster and easier than ever to support Cardiovascular and Rehabilitation programs at CMC by making your tax-deductible donation online using the link below. If you would prefer, you can send your contribution to the address listed below.
To make a donation online , visit the team page and click on the “Make a gift!” link at the right side of the page. Anything you can do will help these folks continue to do the great stuff they do.
